Meet the team
Four people, three generations of one family among them. This is the whole crew, not a rotating cast of subcontractors.
-
Mike Larkin, NATE Certified
Owner & Master Technician
Mike took over the company from his father in 2011, the third Larkin to run it since his grandfather started out of a pickup truck in 1968. He still runs service calls most days rather than staying in the office, and he is the one who signs off on every installation before the crew leaves a job.
-
Walt Larkin
Senior Technician
Mike's father, and the second generation to run the company before handing it to Mike. Officially semi-retired, he still takes the complicated diagnostic calls, the ones where two other technicians have already been out and the problem is still there.
-
Renee Castillo
Service & Dispatch Manager
Renee answers the phone, books the calls and runs the emergency line, including the ones that come in at two in the morning in January. If you have talked to Larkin Heating & Air on the phone, you have almost certainly talked to her first.
-
Jordan Pruitt, EPA 608 Certified
Installation Technician
Jordan leads most full-system installations and handles the load calculations that decide what size unit a house actually needs, rather than replacing a unit with another one the same size out of habit.
Why the crew stays small
We could grow faster by hiring subcontractors and dispatching whoever is closest. Mike has turned that down more than once, because the thing customers actually notice is whether the same company shows up for the tune-up as showed up for the install, and whether that technician remembers the house.
Every technician here is a Larkin employee, not a contractor, trained the same way and held to the same standard on every job, whether it is a forty-dollar part or a full system swap.
Schedule with the crew
Every technician is trained to the same standard, so any open slot works.
