Financing and payment options
A full system replacement is a real number. We would rather tell you what it is and how to pay for it than have you find out mid-project.
How we handle estimates
Every job beyond a diagnostic visit gets a written estimate before work starts. For a repair, that number is usually final. For a replacement, we walk the house, run a load calculation for the actual square footage and insulation rather than swapping in a same-size unit out of habit, and the estimate reflects what the house needs.
If something changes once a wall is opened, and occasionally it does, we call before doing the extra work, not after.
Financing a replacement
Full system replacements are financed through a third-party lender with same-as-cash terms for twelve or eighteen months for customers who qualify, and longer fixed-term plans beyond that. Renee can run the application at the shop or over the phone in about ten minutes, and knowing whether you are approved changes what options make sense to discuss.
Not sure what a repair versus a replacement will run? Call with the make, model and the problem, and we will give you a realistic range before we ever come out. (607) 555-0198
Ways to keep the cost down
Maintenance plans
The single biggest lever most homeowners actually control. A caught part in October is a forty-dollar part. The same failure discovered during a January cold snap is an emergency call plus whatever else failed alongside it. Detail on the plan itself is on the maintenance plans page.
Repair versus replace, honestly assessed
We do not default to recommending a new system because the margin is better for us. A system with a few good years left gets a repair recommendation, plainly stated as such.
Paying directly
We take cash, check and all major cards. There is no surcharge for paying by card, and no discount for paying up front beyond what financing terms already offer.
What we will not do
We will not present a repair or replacement without the cost attached, and we will not ask you to decide on the spot. Take the estimate, compare it against another quote if you want to, and call back with questions. Nobody here will think less of you for doing that.
Questions about cost?
Ask before you book. Renee would genuinely rather answer it now than explain an invoice later.
